Welcome to Quark Community

Quark is an open source software used mainly as a digital currency that employs multiple cryptographic algorithms, which unlike fiat/national currencies provides the platform for a decentralised monetary system.

Quark was launched in 2013 with the belief that the control of money should not be in the hands of the few, but in the hands of the many. This forum tries to build on that ideology by distributing Quarks in the hands of those that are active in the community. By posting quality articles and contributing to general discussions you will earn Quarks.

I will buy something later , not because I need anything , just to support Quark . I think that at this stage of development Quark holders and supporters should buy at least one cheap item in Quarks every 2 weeks to start increasing the transactions , support it and atrack more people to the currency showing that is alive , useful and with a shiny future .

A lot people think that cryptos are just about buy and hold until something happens ... wrong ... nothing is gonna happen if everibody is holding his coins , nothing good for the coin I mean . Some kind of promo should start to encourage people to start buying with Quarks , just a 2$ gadget if They aren't willing to spend more , or a gift card for Amazon , Steam or some digital service that you can trade again later in other places for money or again for cryptos so you can recover most of the money quickly if you don't really want to spend anything but want to help .

AlexLOG - if you don't have BTC don't worry.

    Try the following:

    Make an account on Bter.

Then go to the doge deposit page and an address appears.

Paste that doge address into the doge faucets listed on the following page:

    http://www.regularwriting.com/2014/01/cryptocurrency-altcoin-faucets/

Then when the doge gets deposited, sell it and buy Quark! You can do that with the other faucets too.

Im new in cryptocurrencies. Let me see if i understand you. You mean that i create accounts on the doge pages because they give you some for free and with that doge i buy quark later with bter, correct?
    thankss

This only works with the pages that say: free coins?

But i also want to buy some QRK directly

You can do that but those faucets (sites giving away some coins) will give you just a few coins that will be worth near to nothing . If you don't have BTC the best way to purchase QRK with euros is use https://bittylicious.com/ , I'm not sure if they will accept credit cards , you will have to try . If you can't then you will have to just buy Bitcoins an exchange those for Qrks on BTER or another exchange . To buy Bitcoins you will have to give your bank data and identity to an exchange , transfer some money to your account and the exchange and buy the bitcoins , once bought just send those BTC to your waller or to the exchange where you want to buy quarks , I have used this one without problems to buys BTC with euros https://www.kraken.com/.

If you don't have a bank account or don't want to give your data you can try https://localbitcoins.com/es/ , maybe you will find someone near to you to purchase some btc face to face .

About the faucets I have only find 2 useful and safe to use , you can earn in a week something like if you have a 50Gh miner runing during one day . Links comes with a ref and I will really apreciate if you use it .

fyi i believe coin base is now open in the uk so you could always buy btc and then trade for quark.

Congrats on the purchase, make sure you backup your wallet and encrypt :)
