Welcome to Quark Community

Quark is an open source software used mainly as a digital currency that employs multiple cryptographic algorithms, which unlike fiat/national currencies provides the platform for a decentralised monetary system.

Quark was launched in 2013 with the belief that the control of money should not be in the hands of the few, but in the hands of the many. This forum tries to build on that ideology by distributing Quarks in the hands of those that are active in the community. By posting quality articles and contributing to general discussions you will earn Quarks.

Here you have the chance to show off what rig you use for mining !

Let me give you an example :

CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 2.8 GHz
CPU Mining (QRK/BTC/etc) : mining quarks on 3 cores out of 4
Type (solo or pool mining) : solo mining
    Wallet version (if solo) : 0.9.2 - test4 64bit
    Full speed hash : 176 khash/s

    GPU : Nvidia GT 240
GPU Mining (QRK/BTC/etc) : none, tried a little but wasn't reliable, is too weak for mining
Type (solo or pool mining) : none
    Full speed hash : none

    Others (FPGA/ASIC/etc) : haven't got any
    Full speed hash : none
Cooling : On the CPU i have stock Phenom cooling and on the GPU i have an aftermarket product air active cool.
    OS : Windows 7 ULTIMATE 64-bit
Notes (other stuff to mention) :

Interesting thread! Let me join in with my humble build (which is quite similar to yours btw)
    OS : Windows 8.1 64bit
    Wallet version : 9.2
    CPU : AMD Phenom II 955 X4 3.2 GHz
CPU Mining (QRK/BTC/etc) : mining quarks on 3 cores out of 4
Type (solo or pool mining) : solo mining
Full speed hash : I get around 190k hash per sec on 4 cores

    GPU : Nvidia 9600gt
GPU Mining (QRK/BTC/etc) : none/too weak for mining
Type (solo or pool mining) : none
    Full speed hash : none

    Others (FPGA/ASIC/etc) : haven't got any
    Full speed hash : none
Cooling : On the CPU CM Hyper TX3 evo

Mancoon what wallet are U using ? That were my speeds on the old version of wallet. Try this one, for me it doubled my hash speed !!! I expect you would go to 180 khash/s with this one. You just need 64 bit windows, but maybe you already have it. :D

Damn.. I suspected something was off since I have yet to find any coins...:(

we should include an OS and wallet version in the list too.

    Here's my setup;

Machine: Dell Poweredge R720 (this is my "beast")
    CPU: 2x Xeon E5-2650 (8-core 2.0GHz w/Hyperthreading)
Usage: Mines on all 32 threads when idle
    Performance: 2,800 khash/s
Other info: Wallet version 0.8.3 using built-in miner, running Server 2012 R2 on top of VMWare. Shares resources with about 12 other VMs but they are mostly idle 70% of the time.

Machine: Custom built (my main desktop)
    CPU: Intel i7-3770 (4 cores w/Hyperthreading)
Usage: Mines on all 8 threads when idle, 2 when in-use.
    Performace: 720 khash/s
Other info: Wallet version 0.9.2 test using built-in miner, Running Windows 8.1.

Machine: IBM System x3100 M4 (Support Server 1)
    CPU: 1x Xeon E3-2110 (4 cores)
    Usage: Mines on 4 cores
    Performace: 480 khash/s
Other info: Using PHS minerd (Win64_all_improved2) to mine to the i7 machine, Running Server 2012R2 on top of VMWare

I'm not doing any GPU mining yet. I also have a few other machines (i5, phenom x4 and another Xeon server) in the house that I'm not using for mining but might do mining soon just so see how many hashes per second I can get for the hell of it.

Wow ! Well you've got a lot of power out there. Are you hosting something or just mining ?

I do a lot of development, infrastructure architecture and regulatory compliance in healthcare (been in the industry for almost 15 years). I use these systems for development and testing but unless I'm hammering 'em on a big project they'll sit fairly idle. I just got into mining on Sunday because I saw the promo on /r/gamingdeals and figured I'd could throw a few cpu cycles into Quark for some free games, next thing you know I'm trying to find out just how much load my breakers can take by running everything at 100%.

I run IT during the day, do consulting during the night and tinker in between. I also do a lot with embedded electronics (netduino, raspberry pi, galileo), mechanics (including the electronic side like BMW coding and ECU reprogramming) and just about anything else that piques my interest and/or my ADD (ooh, shiny!). I don't even know why I buy games, I rarely get a chance to play them. lol

CPU Mining (QRK/BTC/etc) : mining QUARK on 2 cores
Type (solo or pool mining) : solo
    Wallet version (if solo) : 0.9.2 - test4 64bit
    Full speed hash : 102 khash/s

Cooling : Stock cooling on GPU and CPU
    OS : Windows 7 64-bit
Notes (other stuff to mention) : the 64 bit wallet greatly increased my hash speed. Actually it doubled it.

CPU Mining : mining quarks on 4 cores out of 4
    Type : pool mining
    Version : minerd - 64bit
    Full speed hash : 103 khash/s

for now but I have others I will be using.

@sudros unless you use that laptop solely for mining I suggest you use max 1 core(minerd has -t option for number of cpu cores I believe), otherwise the lifespan will be affected. Laptops aren't really made for mining because they overheat too quickly.

My laptop is on an exceptionally good cooling mat, and I have spare processors for it. The current set up is to only mine. I have not used that laptop for anything for a long time. If it burns out the CPU, I can always replace it with another I have. But for now, I have it mining for only half the time now. So far so good though. Thanks.
